Tham Gralok v.2 Black
Updated version of Gralok V.1 with premium steel.
A hunting knife designed by Mikael Tham with one single purpose – to be the ultimate knife for field dressing game – from hare to moose. So if you're looking for a knife to whittle campfire sticks with, keep looking :-)
The blade is 66 mm short. Why? So that you can place your index finger along the spine of the knife and reach the tip. This gives you absolute control over the knife and how you cut – even when you can’t see the knife inside the abdominal cavity, when you're loosening the diaphragm, etc. This also eliminates the need for a special gut hook. You won’t risk puncturing the innards when opening the abdomen.
The knife is designed to be easy to clean and hygienic – but remember – never wash a knife, regardless of brand, in a dishwasher, as it risks damaging the steel.
The handle – which is made to follow the shape of your hand, not the other way around, no matter how you hold the knife – is made from durable G10 with a good grip.
Sheath made of leather, with a hole at the bottom, allowing for easy rinsing and keeping the inside clean.
The blade has a flat grind – designed for optimal cutting. The steel is Böhler N690, chosen for its combination of excellent edge retention and ease of sharpening, even out in the field.
