Tham MTAK v.2 Black
The knife is designed by Mikael Tham for dispatching injured game when it is not suitable to shoot. For example, when the dog is holding the game, and a shot would expose the dog to unnecessary risk of gunshot injury and hearing damage.
A properly executed heart stab kills the game quickly and effectively. The effect is the same as a heart shot, i.e., within approximately 10 seconds, there is oxygen deprivation to the brain, and the animal becomes unconscious.
The blade is of the dagger type, meaning it is double-edged to pierce and cut effectively, reaching far enough to penetrate the heart of wild boar and deer up to red deer.
Regardless of the game species, the heart stab is placed in the same spot as you would aim for a heart shot. For quick bleeding, cut about 10 cm up and down between the ribs.
Heart stabs must never be performed with short blades, as the intended effect cannot be achieved on wild boar and larger deer. Do not stab the game in the "stabbing hole" or try to sever the throats; it kills much slower than a properly performed heart stab.
The knife is made of stainless 440 steel, chosen for its strength and durability. The handle is made of G10, a very strong and maintenance-free composite material with a good grip. Leather sheath.
