Tuskproof Wolf – Protective Vest with Wolf Steel Attachment

The Wolf model has the same puncture protection against wild boars as the Boar model but is also equipped with a wolf steel attachment to deter wolf attacks, which usually occur from behind targeting the dog's lower back. Otherwise, the vest is just like the “regular” Tuskproof vest, following our motto: Maximum Protection with Maintained Mobility!

New in version 5 are improved adjustment options for the neck and chest, and the addition of sizes XXS and XXL.

Colors: The vest is available in two color combinations. Option "Orange": Orange front – Yellow back – Blue details. Option "Blue": Blue front – Orange back – Yellow details. The reason for the tri-color design is that when you approach a barking dog and cannot see the game, which is common, you can immediately see which direction the dog is facing, even in dense terrain, and the game is also in that direction. The vest is equipped with reflectors for visibility from all angles.

GPS Pocket? We advise against a GPS pocket on the back. We place the tracker around our dogs' necks. Why? The GPS hump gets caught when the dog runs under branches, barbed wire fences, etc. The worst-case scenario is if it gets caught on a branch when the dog tries to back away from an attacking wild boar... But you, as a customer, decide; we can retrofit or, if you choose our custom vest, a GPS pocket is available as an option.

The puncture protection consists of Dyneema, a woven polyethylene fiber that is 15 times stronger than steel at the same weight. It is an expensive but incredibly strong fiber that is light, flexible, water-repellent, and does not degrade from UV radiation (sunlight). Three layers of puncture protection throughout the vest and five layers over the chest. This is extremely important as we know that several thin layers protect better than a single thick one. Wild boar tusks slide layer by layer and are eventually caught.

The outer material is Ripstop Cordura® with high abrasion resistance in Hi-Viz colors.

The unique feature is that you can adjust the vest for the best fit, which is of utmost importance! The dog must not be hindered in its movements by the vest. If a vest is fitted incorrectly, it can easily cause chafing. Tuskproof covers the maximum area of the dog's body for the best possible protection. Tuskproof Wolf is so flexible that your dog does not need to get used to the vest.

• XXS: 45-50 cm
• XS: 49-55 cm
• S: 54-60 cm
• M: 59-66 cm
• L: 65-73 cm
• XL: 72-80 cm
• XXL: 79-88 cm

If you fall between two sizes, also measure the back length and choose the size that fits best. The back length is measured as shown in the picture above; from the point on the back where the measuring tape rests when you measure the chest circumference to the first tail vertebra. A common mistake is measuring from where the neck starts, which makes the back measurement too long.
